What A Feeling!

We are so thankful to have movement this week! Our agency got 12 referrals at the beginning of the month and haven't had any since. We were beginning to have referral withdrawals. Nothing makes us happier than hearing that a child has been matched with a family. It's amazing news that comes with a huge sigh of relief, it's a fresh blast of hope, or put simply it's just a great feeling!

Today we experienced that feeling and moved a step closer to our own referral, when a referral for a 8.5 month old BABY GIRL was given and 3 children from the Waiting Children's List were matched. WONDERFUL NEWS! We're so happy for the families and ecstatic for the waiting children - wouldn't you love to be the one to tell them that they have been matched with a family?!

What a blessing ... a new number!

Celebrating Good Times

It's official we have been on the wait list for ...

      5 Months
My awesome 9 year-old brother Killian pictured above.

We've been so busy that our 4th month of waiting passed us by without acknowledgement ... oops! To continue our monthly wait list tradition, here is my sister Kelsy celebrating 4 months behind us on the wait list.

4 Months

Why have we been so busy? Well, besides the regular hustle and bustle of everyday life ... we had our Adoption Benefit at the beginning of the month (YEAH!) and then my parents took us on a weekend get-a-way to Gatlinburg, Tennessee. It was my brother and sister's first time exploring Gatlinburg and ALL it's glory!

Our favorite thing to do in Gatlinburg is explore the Great Smoky Mountain National Park ...

Can you guess what we wished for?

Act like kids ...

Racing Killian down the Alpine Slide - I WON!

AND just enjoy each others company ...

I had to put this one up just because it's the sisterly thing to do, lol.

I forgot to mention that we've also been busy welcoming the Mullins family home from Ethiopia BUT that's another post. For now, I'll just say that we're so happy they're back home and adjusting well! Thank you all for keeping them in your thoughts and prayers, Eliana and Alex are absolutely precious (and Nina and Wes aren't bad either, lol).

New Number!

Yes we're serious ... we have another new number ... no complaints here only smiles and shrieks of excitement! Please God keep the referrals coming we're SO ready to see our Ethiopian princess (and her grandparents are dying to see her too)!

We Get By With A Little Help From Our Friends.

Hopefully the faithful followers of our blog will remember our dear friends Nina & Wes Mullins. We've referred to them several times on our blog, like here and here. Nina & Wes have been in Ethiopia for almost 12 weeks now and they are still waiting on their U.S. Embassy appointment (which they hope to get this week - please keep them in your prayers!). As you can imagine this is a very long time to be away from home and a costly adventure since they never planned on having to stay in country this long.

Until Friday, April 8th ONLY you can help bring the Mullins family home by purchasing one of these really cute bags (we've ordered one and can't wait to get ours!). If you're not interested in the tote bag but would like to help you can also donate to help bring the Mullins' family home through this link (click here).

Check out their blog (click here) to place your order and read about their experiences while living in Ethiopia with their beautiful twins, Eliana and Alexander. We cannot wait to welcome the Mullins family home, won't you please help us make this one unforgettable homecoming for this amazing family of 4?!

They just keep coming! Praying that they don't stop, we want to see our little girl's face so bad. The suspense of getting our call is a killer!
